Based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Camel Custom Canvas began by making canvas covers for the U.S. Army immediately following WWI. Since then the business has expanded and changed from making tents to the manufacturing of Awnings and Custom Canvas products such as, Pergola covers, Patio Canopies, Shade Sails, Curtains and Enclosures. We have added to our line and expanded into Standing Seam Metal Awnings, Architectural Metal Canopies & Freestanding Canopies and more recently we have added Handrails. Throughout this time Camel has been owned and operated by generations of descendants of B.A Bower, the founder of Camel Canvas.Today, Camel is the top Woman Owned and operated custom awning manufacture and supplier in the United States.

Some of the new changes made in the last few years have reshaped Camel Custom Canvas. We have added new sustainability measures in the everyday working life of Camel and our employees reducing waste, and improving our recycling initiatives.

 With the advancement of technology, Camel’s in-house computer-aided design and engineering assures our clients that each custom-made product will meet their specifications.
